How pages are written, checked and corrected

The dataset rules are on the methodology page. This one covers the prose — what it may assert, how it is produced, and what happens when it is wrong.

Scope

We write about cost, inclusions, logistics, timelines, paperwork and how to check things for yourself. We do not write about whether a treatment is suitable for you, what results to expect, or which clinic to choose. Those are clinical and personal questions and this is not a clinical site.

What a page may assert

  • A number appears only if it comes from a record in our dataset or a cited external source, with the date visible.
  • Statistics are computed from the dataset at build time, never typed into prose by hand.
  • Where the sample is too small to support a claim, the page says so instead of rounding up to a claim.
  • Uncertainty is stated rather than smoothed. Ranges are published at full width.

Drafting assistance

Prose here may be drafted with the help of language models; the numbers never are. Every figure is read from an archived source by a person, entered into the dataset with its provenance, and the build refuses to publish it otherwise. Every page is read and checked against its sources before it goes live.

Sources

  • Price sources are archived on the day they are read, and linked from the record.
  • External claims are linked to the primary source rather than to coverage of it.
  • Links to clinics are marked nofollow and are references, not recommendations.
  • We use no clinic logos, no clinic photography, no before-and-after imagery and no testimonials we did not collect.

Corrections

Report an error to editor@medicaltourismcost.com. Price records that are demonstrably wrong are corrected or removed on verification. Substantive corrections to a guide are noted on the page with the date. The updated date on every page reflects real changes, not a refreshed timestamp — nothing here is re-dated to look current.

Clinic requests

Clinics may ask us to re-read their current prices and we will. They cannot ask to be removed from an accurate record, cannot buy a change, and cannot buy a position. Requests are answered in writing and treated exactly like any other correction request.

Review cycle

  • Price records: reviewed monthly, sources re-verified quarterly.
  • Guides: reviewed at least twice a year, and whenever the data they reference moves materially.
  • Policy pages: reviewed annually and whenever the funding model or method changes.
